I’ve been seeing a lot of people comparing Kylo Ren and Darth Revan, mostly because of shipping Kylo Ren with Rey like Revan is shipped with Revan and Bastila. Mostly cus Kylo and Rey are white and people like to imagine Revan as white. Revan and Kylo are the furthest things from each other and For all you new canon fans who know nothing about Revan or legends canon, buckle your fucking seatbelts kids
The Differences:
Revan has no canon gender in the games.
Revan at a young age was considered a prodigy. I mean the best. The absolute best at everything. Seriously: Racing, Force powers, Charismatic, great leader, yet this made them too confident in their abilities where they felt like he knew better then the Jedi. Revan had no known family or loved when while with the Order.
Kylo Ren is a powerful dark side user, but his power is unstable and the only force users we’ve seen him fight, he’s lost to every time: Snoke, Rey, and Luke. Finn even had him on the ropes. He was raised in a loving home and came from a very privileged and powerful family.
Revan went against the wills of the Jedi and went to war with the Mandalorians, a culture of warriors who were destroying the Galaxy. When Revan found out that the Sith were actually responsible for the war they left to finish them off but was tortured to the dark side.
As far as we know Kylo Ren joined the dark side cause he was already falling to it and felt that Luke betrayed him after Luke thought about killing him…Gods I hate TLJ
Revan became the biggest threat to the galaxy with their apprentice Malak, yet after Malak betrays him, Revan is captured by the Jedi and is brainwashed by the Jedi to think they are a good person. Good Revan fights with the Jedi till they remembers that their actually Darth Revan, they chooses to remain on the side of the Jedi, fights Malak, Redeema the fallen Bastila, offers their old friend and appreciate Malak redemption, Who refuses, then goes off to save the Galaxy.
Kylo is in full control of his actions and kills people in cold blood, like defenseless family members. Every chance at redemption he rejects and by the last movie he has become the Big Bad himself.
Revan was one of the strongest Jedi/Sith of their time and ever. They created their own legacy and fell to the dark side for noble reasons and at the first chance of redemption, they took it. Kylo Ren is not Revan…not even close. His wardrobe resembles Revan’s but that is only cus Revan based their Sith outfit on…the Sith.
This is another stupid ass parallel I’ve noticed that only exists for aesthetic reasons. Bastila and Rey are both white, British, and they use staff weapons…yup exactly alike!
Bastila wss born and raised with the Jedi. Very knowledgeable of other words and a skilled Jedi through decades of training. Bastila though is very repressed in her emotions, jealous of her lack of natural abilities, yet firmly believes in the Jedi and fights the Sith. Her talents are mostly that of a Jedi
Rey as of now is a nobody bullshit and has no connections to the Jedi and is just natural and everything from piloting to force combat and lightsaber combat. Her knowledge is limited due to her lack of education, yet she is very clever. She has a very good grasp on her emotions.
Bastila is captured and mentally tortured till she joins the dark side and only goes back to the light when Revan redeems her.
Rey is captured and mentally tortured twice yet doesn’t fall to the dark side st either times and continues to be her own hero.
Rey and Bastila are barely alike beyond looks. White and British with a staff. If anything, Rey is more like Revan.

Freyja:Bask in your glory and empowerment. Let pleasure be a virtue, and self-determination be the basis of your strength. Revel in your emotions for they are your power.
Freyr:Advance the endeavour of growth. Nurture life in all its forms and display the beauty of progeneration. Anything can take root and grow given the right conditions.
Frigga:Provide and protect. Let all you care for be comfortable and safe, and no need be denied. The fire can warm but also burn.
Heimdall:Vigilance and caution. A misstep may bring misery and an unheard word, disaster. The way forward is clear and danger is transparent, when the time is taken to identify it.
Hela:Death is but the other half of life. Let stillness be, and quiet guide your thoughts. Endings should be neither sought nor feared, an end is but the opportunity for further beginnings.
Idunn:Wisdom in youth. Let the words of babes ring with your consciousness and seek the truth held in their innocence, ignorance is found in the dismissal of the young.
Loki: Freedom in fun and change. Do not be bound by norms and civility, evil is often disguised as order, and the fabricated as natural. The good thing is not always the common thing, deviation can lead to delight.
Modi:Evolve and progress. Find no contentment in maintaining a status quo. Each day be better than yesterday, see the good of your forebear and strive to excel further. Seek, always, the betterment of your theory and actions.
Njord:Ebb and flow, give and take. Action begets reaction, matter demands a void, for happiness there must be sadness, for gain there must be loss. Balance is a virtue, no one approach can suit every obstacle.
Odin:Wise and learned. Always search for the opportunity to learn, wisdom is found in the diversity of life. Give your knowledge freely and be gracious in reception, a mind in isolation is a mind that does not grow.
Sif:Be proud and know your worth. Demand your place and your right to exist in the world. Pay mind to fair criticism but reject detractors wholly. Take pride in yourself, and seek betterment for your own sake.
Sigyn:Steadfast and devoted. Stand firmly for what you believe, keep loyal to that you love. Nothing worth doing is easy, no worthwhile thing is effortless. Love takes work, and ideals require labour.
Skadhi:Justice through vengeance. Vileness be met with viciousness, the unforgivable can not be forgiven, though reason may temper rage. Covert, can be calamity, and war kept for a better day.
Thor:Powerful protection. Vie for strength in soul and arm, to protect is to persevere against evil, contest not only in arms but in wills. To bring joy against misery, hope against despair, and a hammer against tyranny.
Tyr:Honour and sacrifice. Victory is not always decisive, a small win leads to the larger success, a minor loss can avert the grander. Achievement can come in portion just as well as in entirety.
Ullr: Mirth in contest. Appreciate fair competition and find joy in the fight, to train you must have a partner, to win - a rival. In loss be grateful for the challenger and in victory, for the challenge.
